Individuals arrested for unlicensed currency exchange and money transfer

Damascus, SANA – The Interior Ministry said that a number of individuals have been arrested for exchanging foreign currency and transferring funds without a license.

The Ministry said on Monday that patrols have arrested several individuals who had been involved in exchanging foreign currency and transferring funds without a license, seizing large amounts of money which was turned over to the Central Bank.

The Ministry stressed that all transgressors will be brought to justice no matter who they are.
