Syrian film gets best director award at Marrakech International Festival

Damascus, SANA_ The Syrian film (Nahari Bahri) by al-Muhannad Kalthoum won the best director award at the 4th edition of  Marrakech International Film Festival for the Exchange of Cultures in Morocco.

The film, which was written by Samar Mohamed Ismail and produced by the General Establishment for Cinema, tells the story of a girl who falls in love with a fisherman on the beach under the repercussions of the terrorist war.

Stars of the film are Abdel Moneim Amairi, Suhair Saleh, Mariam Ali and  the child Sandy Janoub.

This is the third prize for the film after receiving the best director award at al-Nour International Film Festival in Morocco and the audience award at the International Festival of Environmental Films in Morocco.
