Syria beats Maldives 2-1 in World Cup and Asia finals qualifications

Abu Dhabi, SANA-Syria’s national football team beat Maldives counterpart 2-1 in a match held on Thursday in the UAE within the 2nd round of the qualifications for World Cup of 2022 and Asia 2023 of group A.

With this win, Syria raised its points to 6 in the second place after China.

Philippines comes in the third place, Maldives in the fourth place with 3 points each, and Guam in the bottom with no points.

Syrian player Omar al-Soumah scored for Syria at the 26th and 60th minutes of the game.
