Capitals, SANA- Egypt condemned, with strongest terms, the Turkish aggression on Syrian territories, calling for keeping Syria’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and safety of its lands.
“The Turkish step represents a flagrant, unacceptable violation of sovereignty of an Arab brotherly country in exploitation of the conditions it is passing through,” Egyptian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
Iraqi President condemns Turkish aggression against Syrian territories
Iraqi President Barham Salih on Wednesday condemned the Turkish aggression against the Syrian territories, describing it as a “dangerous escalation”.
Iraqi News Agency quoted Salih as saying in a tweet that “The Turkish aggression will cause a humanitarian catastrophe and strengthen the terrorist groups,” calling upon the world to unify in order to avoid that catastrophe.
Algeria expresses solidarity with Syria and keenness on its sovereignty and territorial integrity
Meanwhile, Algeria affirmed full solidarity with Syria and its keenness on it sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Commenting on the Turkish aggression on the Syrian territories, Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement on Wednesday which read “Algeria is following up the dangerous events in northern Syria with a deep concern, and it reiterates its principled and categorical rejection of attacking the sovereignty of states under any circumstances.”
Lebanese Foreign Ministry condemns Turkish aggression against Syrian territories
In the same context, the Lebanese Foreign Ministry condemned the Turkish aggression against the Syrian territories, affirming the necessity of preserving Syria’s unity and territorial integrity.
In a statement on Wednesday, the Ministry asserted that the Turkish aggression is ” an aggression on a brotherly Arab state and an occupation of its lands, in addition to exposing its locals to the killing and displacement.”
The Lebanese Foreign Ministry called upon the Turkish regime’s authorities to reconsider their aggression, urging it to work with the state concerned to restore stability to Syria and implement the relevant international resolutions.
European Commission calls on Turkish regime to stop its aggression
President of the European Commission, Jean–Claude Juncker, called on the Turkish regime to stop its aggression on Syria.
“I call on Turkey and the other active parties for self-restraint,” Reuters quoted Juncker as telling the EU parliament on Wednesday , condemning the plots of Turkish regime to establish the so-called “safe zone.”
Germany: Turkey threatens stability in the region
Meanwhile, German Foreign Minister, Heiko Josef Maas strongly condemned the Turkish aggression on Syrian territories, affirming that it increases destabilization in the region and reinforces Daesh terrorist organization .
“Turkey risks more destabilization in the region… the Turkish attack could lead to a new humanitarian catastrophe and new flow of refugees,” Maas said in a statement.
Italy: Turkish aggression undermines stability of the regions, harms civilians
Italian Prime Minister, Giuseppe Conte, also stressed that the Turkish aggression on Syrian territories destabilizes situation in the region and harms civilians.
Netherlands condemns Turkish aggression against Syria, summons Turkish Ambassador
Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Wednesday condemned the Turkish aggression against Syria and it summoned the Ambassador of the Turkish regime in Amsterdam in protest against that aggression.
Reuters Agency quoted Dutch Foreign Minister Stef Blok as saying in a statement that ” Netherlands condemns the Turkish aggression against northeast of Syria and it calls upon Turkey to not continue to walk in that road,” adding that “the Turkish Ambassador in Amsterdam was summoned after the start of the aggression.”
Denmark: Turkish aggression on Syria has dangerous consequences
Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen affirmed that the Turkish aggression on the Syrian territories is regrettable and has dangerous consequences.
Reuters quoted Frederiksen as saying in a tweet “I am very worried over the Turkish aggression against the Syrian territories,” adding that “this decision is regrettable and wrong, and it might have dangerous effects on the civilians, and the efforts of combating Daesh terrorist organization.”
