Iraq affirms its firm stance in preserving Syria’s territorial integrity

Baghdad, SANA- Iraqi Foreign Minister Mohammad Ali al-Hakim reaffirmed Iraq’s firm stance in preserving Syria’s territorial integrity and supporting the intra-Syrian dialogue to solve the crisis in the country.

A statement by the Iraqi Foreign Ministry indicated that the remarks came during a meeting on Monday  between Minister al-Hakim and Syria’s Ambassador in Iraq Sattam Jadaan al-Dandah and heads of the Arab diplomatic missions.

The statement added that the meeting reviewed the latest political and security developments and it also tackled “the situations in Palestine, Syria, Yemen, Libya and the Sudan, and Iraq’s vision towards what is taking place in these states.”

During the meeting, Minister al-Hakim called for giving priority for enhancing the joint efforts so as to achieve security and stability in the region.
