Damascus, SANA-Members of Damascus, Tartous and Raqqa chambers of commerce and industry discussed on Tuesday with a delegation of Iranian Trade cooperation Chamber prospects of cooperation among businessmen in the two countries and means of holding joint investments.
Ghassan al-Qala’a, chairman of Damascus Chamber of Commerce affirmed the importance of boosting trade and economic ties between Syria and Iran, activating the role of Joint Business council and establishing an Iranian-Syrian bank to facilitate the trade exchange and hold common exhibitions.
Mohammad Ali Daighami, Deputy Chairman of Iranian Trade Cooperation Chamber, affirmed that the Iranian Chamber seeks to broaden the horizons of cooperation with Syrian businessmen and holding joint projects, particularly in light of the western unilateral measures imposed on the two states.
The volume of trade exchange between Syria and Iran reached at nearly 61 billion SYP in 2017.
