Damascus, SANA- The Health Ministry is launching Monday the National Vaccination Days Campaign, which will last until April 30th and it is to target all children under the age of five.
The campaign includes giving all vaccines provided in the National Vaccine Program (eleven vaccines) in parallel with World Immunization Week.
Speaking to SANA, Head of the Health Care at the Health Ministry Dr. Fadi Qassis said all the technical and logistic measures have been adopted to ensure the success of the vaccination campaign, which targets around 2.8 million children.
The vaccination campaign will be carried out in 900 health centers distributed among various provinces , in addition to a number of the temporary housing centers.
He pointed out that the campaign will also target the children who are above five and have not given all their vaccines.
For her part, Resident Representative of the WHO in Damascus Elizabeth Hoff said that coverage rates of vaccination for children in Syria were among the best worldwide before the crisis.
