Industrial sector in Daraa is gradually recovering with more than 5 thousand facilities

Daraa, SANA- The industrial and handicraft facilities resumed their works in Daraa province after the restoration of security and stability to the whole area. The number of the working handicraft facilities today reached at 5876 while the industrial ones became nearly 624.

The handicraft installations vary between engineering, chemical, nutritional and textile ones with total capital of nearly 1.685 billion SYP that provide about 10310 job opportunities.

The capital of the industrial installations reached at 7.626 billion SYP while the value of the working machines exceeds 3 billion SYP that secures 4379 job opportunities.

The Industry Director in Daraa, Abdul-Wahid al-Awad told SANA that the industrial sector in the province is gradually recovering after announcing Daraa free from terrorism, adding that a number of handicraft and manufacture facilities have been licensed during the last year.

He said that the number of the implemented industrial facilities according to Investment law No.10 reached 34.
