Tehran, SANA- Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran Ali Admiral Shamkhani underlined the importance of cooperation between Syria and Iran to eliminate terrorism, referring to the great victories achieved by Syria in this regard against Daesh (ISIS) and Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist organizations.
In an interview with Foreign Policy Studies Quarterly Journal which is published in Tehran, Shamkhani said that “The Iranian foreign policy is based on the principle of good-neighborliness.”
“Dialogue with the neighboring states is the best choice to overcome the existing security crises,” Shamkhani added.
On the other hand, he considered that the hostility with the US is the biggest challenge facing the Iranian foreign policy, indicating that the US since the triumph of the Islamic Revolution has tried to stand against the interests of the Iranian people.
