Havana, SANA- 36th Havana International Trade Fair kicked off on Monday in the Cuban capital of Havana in presence of Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel, and with the participation of the Syrian Arab Republic and official delegations from 20 states.
3000 figures representing chambers of commerce and industry and foreign companies from 65 countries are also participating in the fair.
After the opening of the fair , Cuban Minister of Foreign Trade and Investment Rodrigo Malmierca toured the pavilions of some of the participating states as he visited the Syrian pavilion.
Syria’s Ambassador in Cuba Dr. Idris Maiyia briefed Minister Malmierca on the contents of the Syrian pavilion which embraces various Syrian products.
Dr. Maiyia said that Syria’s participation in the fair proves that the Syrian economy has started to recover thanks to the victories achieved by the Syrian Arab Army against terrorism.
The Syrian pavilion was also visited by Deputy Head of Cuban Communist Party Central Committee’s Department for External Relations, Juan Carlos Marsan and a number of ambassadors and heads of the accredited diplomatic missions in Cuba, in addition to a large number of people who expressed admiration of the pavilion.
