Syria wins 2 bronze medals and 4 appreciation certificates at APMO

Damascus, SANA – Syria won 2 bronze medals and 4 Certificates of Appreciation at the Asian Pacific Mathematics Olympiad (APMO) organized online by Mexico with the participation of over 30 countries.

Chairman of the Commission of Distinction and Innovation Imad al-Azb underlined the significance of this achievement, noting that total number of awards obtained by national mathematical teams reached 50 ones, 26 of which are international while 24 are Asian, including 4 silver and 7 bronze medals, in addition to 39 Certificates of Appreciation.

International Olympiad competitions are set to begin next July, The International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI) will be held in Japan, the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) in Romania, the International Physics Olympiad (IPhO) in Portugal, the International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO) in Czech and the International Biology Olympiad (IBO) in Iran.
