Nasrallah: “Int’l Coalition to fight ISIS” a US cloak to re-occupy region

Beirut, SANA – Secretary General of the Lebanese Hezbollah Party Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said that the US is not morally qualified to lead an alliance against terrorism because it is the origin of terrorism in the world and the ultimate supporter of Israel.

In a televised speech aired Tuesday by al-Manar TV channel on the latest developments in the region, Nasrallah said “the US is not morally qualified to lead an anti-terrorism coalition because it is the mother of terrorism as it supports the terrorist entity (the Israeli entity).”

“The US has participated itself in creating terrorist groups in Syria, Iraq and in other countries,” Hezbollah chief said.

He added that all nations have the right to question the US intentions regarding what is called “International coalition for fighting ISIS” because it is a pretext for the USA to re-occupy the region.

“Lebanon must not be part of this US-led international coalition because it endangers its interests,” Nasrallah stressed.

Nasrallah said “Everyone knows that we are against ISIS and all other takfiri organizations because they constitute a threat to all the peoples of the region,” expressing firm stance against these groups and the stressing the necessity of fighting them.

“We reject that Lebanon be part of this international alliance as it has no interest in being part of it, and it carries risks for Lebanon were it to join this coalition,” Nasrallah went on saying.

He indicated that Lebanon can rout terrorism by the Lebanese army and the resilience of the Lebanese people.

Hezbollah leader pointed out that the participant countries in the international alliance can help Lebanon by stopping the funds and training they provide to the terrorist organizations, arming the Lebanese army and working to solve the issue of the displaced Syrian people.

Regarding the latest Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, Nasrallah called for caution and paying close attention to the development of events, congratulating the Palestinian people for the “great political victory” which undermined the declared and undeclared goals of Israel.
