Syria wins three medals at Asian-Pacific IT Olympiad

Damascus, SANA –Syria won three bronze medals in the competitions of the Asian-Pacific IT Olympiad organized by Russia via internet last Saturday with the participation of 50 states.

The 15-member Syrian team contained members from Damascus, Homs, Lattakia, and Aleppo, and the test was conducted over five hours at the same time in 50 countries under direct supervision of the Scientific Committee of the Asian Olympics in Russia.

Head of the Syrian Commission for the Science Olympiad, Imad al-Azeb, told SANA’s correspondent that team members who won the medals are Mohammad al-Dwaik, Tamer Imad, and Fadi Younes.

With these medals, Syria’s achievements in Scientific Olympiad competitions since 2014 rose to 6.
