Damascus, SANA- Temperatures will continue to drop to become from 3 to 7 degrees below average as the country is affected by a low air pressure in all layers of the atmosphere accompanied by a cold and wet air mass.
Meteorology Department expected in its Tuesday bulletin that the skies will be partly cloudy to cloudy sometimes and thundershowers are expected to fall over different areas across the country and they will be heavy, particularly over the northwestern, eastern and al-Jazeera areas.
The wind will be westerly to southwesterly with a moderate speed and active gusts sometimes while the sea waves will be medium in height.
Different amounts of rainfalls have been registered in different provinces across Syria as follows: Damascus Countryside 18 mm, Sweida 8mm, Quneitra 20mm, Hama 30 mm, Tartous 25mm, Lattakia 58mm, Aleppo 17 mm and Hasaka 55mm.
The expected temperatures in some of the major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 25/13, Daraa 23/14, Homs 20/13, Lattakia 22/16, Aleppo 22/13 and Deir Ezzor 24/16.
