Baku, SANA- Activities of the 18th Mid-Term Ministerial Meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) kicked off on Thursday in the Azerbaijan capital of Baku with the participation of Syria’s Permanent Representative to the UN Dr. Bashar al-Jaafari.
Delegations from 120 Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) countries, representatives of a number of observer states , international organizations and regional blocks participate in the conference.
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev opened the conference.
Senior officials, over the past two days’ meetings, discussed the conference agenda, items related to international and regional issues , and challenges faced the (NAM) movement and ways to enhance its role on the international arena.
