Russian journalists and servicemen wounded in Syria return home

Moscow, SANA – Russian servicemen and journalists who were wounded in a landmine explosion in Syria on Monday were transported to Russia, according to the Russian Defense Ministry.

In a statement on its website, the Ministry said that Russia’s military medical aircraft “Scalpel” has transported the injured journalists along with the servicemen of the Russian Defense Ministry to the Chkalovsky Airport, located in Moscow’s outskirts.

On Monday, 4 journalists working for the Russian television channels of Zvezda and NTV and five military servicemen had sustained wounds in an explosion of a remotely detonated bomb planted by terrorists in one of the residential neighborhoods in Deir Ezzor city.
