Damascus, SANA – Members of the Arabic music band Syria’s Youth performed a concert at the Dummar Cultural Theater, presenting a number of musical pieces from the Syrian musical heritage.
The band consists of talented vocalists and musicians from across the country’s provinces who came together to perform a musical program reviving old patriotic songs from the local heritage, including songs from the 1970s and the 1980s, in addition to original songs composed by the young members.
The band’s conductor Nazih Asaad said that this band was formed after carrying out tours of Syrian provinces to discover musical talents, selecting a number of youths to become part of the Damascus-based band, with emphasis on group work and bringing talents together.
