Kazakh Foreign Ministry: 7th round of Astana talks on Syria in late October

Astana, SANA- The 7th round of Astana talks on Syria will be held in Kazakhstan’s capital of Astana in late October, the Kazakh Foreign Ministry said Thursday.

“Ceasefire guarantor states have agreed to hold the seventh international high-level meeting on Syria within the Astana process on October 30-31,” the ministry said in a statement.

The previous Astana meetings on Syria affirmed commitment to Syria’s sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity, in addition to enhancing cessation of hostilities and establishment of de-escalation zones in the country.
