Beijing, SANA – Culture Minister, Mohammad al-Ahmad, and his Chinese Counterpart, Luo Shugang have discussed the cultural agreements signed by Syria and China and opening new prospects for increasing cooperation in this field .
During their meeting in Beijing on Monday, on the sidelines of the Belt and Road Forum,the two ministers agreed on boosting cooperation in the field of restoring the damaged antiquities due to the sabotage that was inflicted on them by the terrorist organizations, particularly the antiquities of Palmyra and Aleppo archeological cities.
Ministers al-Ahmad and Shugang reviewed the deeply-rooted relations between Syria and China and the interaction of the two civilizations throughout history.
Al-Ahmad praised the stances of China throughout the past recent years in support of Syria.
For his part, Minister Shugang lauded the friendly relations binding the two countries.
China hosts the two-day “Belt and Road” Forum, which concentrates on the economic, trade and cultural affairs that interest the countries located on the land and sea silk roads.
