SANA photographer injured while covering army operations north of Damascus’s Jobar

Damascus, SANA – SANA photographer Maher Shamseddin was injured on Wednesday while he was covering the Syrian Arab Army’s operations against terrorist organizations north of Jobar neighborhood on the eastern outskirts of Damascus.

Shamseddin was admitted to the Red Crescent Hospital in Baghdad Street, and a medical source confirmed that his condition is stable and that he is receiving the necessary treatment.

In turn, Akram Shamseddin, the photographer’s brother, said this “cowardly” targeting by the terrorist groups shows the state of failure they are experiencing, adding that all the terrorists’ attempts to silence the Syrian media that is working to expose the disinformation of hostile media channels have failed.

SANA Director General Ahmad Dawa visited the injured photographer at the hospital, where he said in a statement that terrorism hits all aspects of life in Syria, including the media, stressing however that Syria will achieve victory thanks to the will of its people and the efforts exerted by the medical and media cadres and the heroes of the Syrian Arab army.

He noted that Maher Shamseddien is one of the most distinguished photographers working for SANA, wishing his a speedy recovery.
