Homs, SANA-Homs Governor Talal Barazi affirmed on Thursday that the city will offer all available facilities to deliver the relief aid to those who are in need, saying the Government assumes a big part of this process.
Meeting a number of representatives of UN offices in Homs, Barazi reviewed the response plan and the role of UN offices in providing the basic needs to meet the relief requirements in the regions where there are civilians in.
During the meeting, talks tackled delivering more aid to al-Wa’er and al-Houla towns in Homs countryside.
“There is no obstacle to deliver humanitarian and relief aid to any place as long as the road to is open and factors of security are available there,” the Governor said, adding that food and health aid convoys will be sent to al-Wae’r after it had witnessed calm ahead of reconciliation.
For his part, Director of Coordination office for humanitarian affairs in Homs Abdi Hassan said the meeting comes within the regular meetings with governmental bodies in Homs to discuss pending issues and ways of delivering aid to some regions, mainly, al-Houla and al-Wae’r.
